The condition of political prisoner Abdurakhmanov is deteriorating in a prison in Russia
According to her, Mejit Abdurahmanov complains of constant back pain, due to which he can not move independently.
The ombudswoman Lyudmila Denisova reported about it.
"In particular, he was given local anaesthesia for his presence at the court hearing. Only after that, he was taken to court with a special device for movement, "Denisova said.
She also stressed that today, Abdurakhmanov is not allowed to be examined and receive the necessary treatment.
"Appeals to the medical unit of the pre-trial detention centre are ignored," the ombudsman added
Denisova noted that such treatment of a citizen of Ukraine violates paragraph 22 of the minimum standard rules for the treatment of prisoners, approved by the UN Economic and Social Councils, and "is considered torture or inhuman or degrading treatment".
