The occupying authorities of the Crimean capital have announced the introduction of a high alert mode due to heavy rainfall.

It was reported in the press service of the occupation administration of Simferopol, "Vesti Crimea" reports.

"In connection with the deterioration of weather conditions, the decision of the municipal commission for the prevention and elimination of emergencies in Simferopol introduced a regime of high alert", - the message said.

Rains are expected in occupied Crimea from February 23 to 25, particularly during the day on February 23 and at night on February 24. 

Northeast winds of 15-20 m/s are expected on February 24 and 25, with gusts up to 25 m/s on the 25th. 

Local authorities will check the readiness of subordinate emergency response crews and utilities to respond to potential emergencies.
