​​The European Union has included in the sanctions list five more deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation for the Russian elections in occupied Crimea

The European Union's sanctions list for the Russian elections in occupied Crimea includes five other people who participated in or facilitated the elections to the State Duma on the peninsula.

Brussels journalist of "Radio Liberty" Rikard Jozwiak announced it on Twitter.

"The EU foreign ministers have approved asset freezes and visa bans on five more people for undermining the territorial integrity of Ukraine. The five were elected in or facilitated the Russian state duma vote from Crimea back in 2021", - he tweeted.

Jozwiak did not name the people on the sanctions list, but according to "Current time", they are Russian State Duma deputies from occupied Crimea.

These are Oleksiy Chernyak, Leonid Babashov, Tetyana Lobach, Nina Faustova and Oleksandr Chmykhalov.

So far, sanctions have been applied to 177 people and 48 companies.

What is known
