The situation in ORDLO and the occupied Crimea was reported to the UN General Assembly - Kislytsia
The debate on the situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine will take place in the United Nations General Assembly on February 23.
This was announced by the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Serhiy Kyslytsia, informs "Dom".
It is noted that the UN General Assembly will discuss the situation in the temporarily occupied Crimea, the persecution of Crimean Tatars, large-scale human rights violations, torture, humanitarian crisis and environmental threats.
The day before, speaking at the UN Security Council convened by Russia on the implementation of the Minsk agreements, Sergei Kislitsa said that the Russian State Duma's appeal to Putin to recognize the independence of the so-called "L / DNR" is tantamount to Moscow's withdrawal from the Minsk agreements. The post-envoy stressed that if Russia escalates, Ukraine will defend itself.
"Ukraine remains committed to a peaceful settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict through political and diplomatic means. Ukraine wants peace, security and stability not only for itself but for the whole of Europe. At the same time, I reiterate that if Russia escalates, Ukraine will defend itself”, - Serhiy Kyslytsia said.
