The Slovenian TV channel RTV Slovenija showed a map of the occupied Crimea as part of the Russian Federation on one of the programs. However, the channel's management reacted and called it a technical error.

This was reported by the Embassy of Ukraine in Slovenia.

It is noted that the incident occurred on Tuesday, February 15. The embassy immediately responded to this and sent an official appeal to the TV channel.

On February 17, the channel issued an official apology. It was explained there that the editorial office did not intend to disrespect Ukraine, but only made a technical error.

"Ukraine is exposed to massive information propaganda and fakes from Russia. At this time, it is especially important that all our partners adhere to the norms of international law and their position on non-recognition of the illegal occupation of Crimea by the Russian Federation,", - was informed in the embassy.

The diplomats also stressed that foreign media must adhere to the rules of journalistic ethics, as well as objective coverage of information.
