The prosecutor's office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Security Service of Ukraine carried out a search in Kyiv and brought an accusation in the creating illegal armed formation to a participant in the so-called "Self-Defense of Crimea".

It is noted that for the "merits" before occupiers, in 2016 "the self-defender" received a medal "For the return of Crimea".

Also, being armed, "the self-defender" has carried out illegal checks of documents of Ukrainian citizens, searched and detained vehicles.

During searches of his home, "evidence was found and seized to assist the occupying authorities, items and documents that are evidence of his illegal activities".
The issue of choosing a measure of restraint for the suspect is currently being resolved.
The suspicion was handed over under article 260 part of 2 of the Criminal Codecs of Ukraine. The law article provides for imprisonment for a term of three to eight years.
