The prosecutor's office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Security Service of Ukraine carried out a search in Kyiv and brought an accusation in the creating illegal armed formation to a participant in the so-called "Self-Defense of Crimea".

It is announced, the prosecutor's office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

"The pre-court investigation established, that a citizen of Ukraine, being a member of the illegal armed formation" Self-Defense of Crimea ", during February-March of 2014, served at a checkpoint which located at the entrance to Yalta, near the town of Massandra in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea", - about that stated in a report.

It is noted that for the "merits" before occupiers, in 2016 "the self-defender" received a medal "For the return of Crimea".

Also, being armed, "the self-defender"  has carried out illegal checks of documents of Ukrainian citizens, searched and detained vehicles.

According to information from the own sources of the Suspilne Crimea, informed about 34-year-old Alexander Rashivalov.

During searches of his home, "evidence was found and seized to assist the occupying authorities, items and documents that are evidence of his illegal activities".

The issue of choosing a measure of restraint for the suspect is currently being resolved.

The suspicion was handed over under article 260 part of 2 of the Criminal Codecs of Ukraine. The law article provides for imprisonment for a term of three to eight years.

  • The Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea together with the State Security Service of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea reported the suspicion of a pilot of one of the Russian airlines in violation of international flights and illegal smuggling across the Ukrainian state border, according to the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

  • On the 27 of July, under guidance, the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the officers of the Main Directorate of the Crimean Police has informed the suspicion of committing a criminal offence for two members of an illegal armed group, the so-called "Self-Defense of Sevastopol".

  • On the 27 of July, the police also have informed the suspicion of committing a criminal offence for a member of the illegal armed group "Self-defence of Crimea" for supporting occupation semi-island by Russian Federation.
