Kherson City Court Arrests 14 Russian Planes for Illegal Flights to occupied Crimea
At the request of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, the Kherson city court arrested14 aircraft of the Russian airline, which transported passengers to and from the closed checkpoint "Simferopol-Avia" and thus were a tool for committing crimes.
The Office of the Attorney General reported it.
Under the procedural guidance of the Autonomy Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation is currently underway into violations of the procedure for entering and exiting the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, treason, smuggling persons across the state border of Ukraine, and violating international flight rules.
Russia's Gazprom Avia illegally used 14 passenger planes to smuggle people across Ukraine's state border in violation of international flight rules.
It was also established that at least 37 Russian airlines operate regular flights to occupied Crimea, in violation of Ukrainian law.
The Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomy considers the relevant actions as undermining Ukraine's sovereignty.
