ARC Prosecutor's Office reports suspicion of two former Simferopol police officers of treason

The Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol reported suspicion of two former deputy heads of the Simferopol city department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea under Part 1 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason). They face up to 15 years in prison.

They betrayed the oath of allegiance to Ukraine during the occupation of the peninsula in 2014, joining the occupation Ministry of Internal Affairs of Crimea, which later became part of the "Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation".

They held the posts of "Deputy Chief of Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Crimea" and "Deputy Chief of Police of Public Order Protection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Yalta."

"Through their actions and decisions, the militiamen contributed to the formation of the Russian occupation administration by directly participating in the work of illegally created law enforcement agencies. They also assisted representatives of the occupying state in carrying out subversive activities against Ukraine", - the statement read.
