• From the beginning of March 2020 to June 2021, Teymur Abdullayev was kept in the penal colony almost all the time. • Crimean Teymur Abdullayev was sentenced to 16.5 years in prison and 1 year and 4 months of administrative supervision, and his brother Uzeyir Abdullayev was sentenced to 12.5 years in prison. Both are held in the colonies of Salavat (Bashkortostan), near VK-2 and VK-16, respectively. Memorial has recognized all those convicted in the first Simferopol case of Hizb ut-Tahrir as political prisoners.
• In November 2020, Teymur Abdullayev's mother asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Volodymyr Putin to take personal control of the situation with her son and take all possible measures to provide him with medical care.
