There is a shortage of ambulances in the occupied Crimea due to the growing incidence of COVID-19.

The occupying head of the Crimean government Yuriy Gotsanyuk announced this on his Facebook page.

"Due to the deteriorating epidemiological situation, an outpatient unit of medical organizations under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Crimea will need an additional 176 vehicles. Some municipalities are already providing cars with drivers to medical organizations", - Gotsanyuk wrote.

What is known

  • As of February 5, 815 new COVID-19 cases were "officially" registered in the occupied Crimea, 488 in Sevastopol. At the same time, 7 people died on the peninsula, and 3 in Sevastopol.
