The Senate stressed that it supports political and financial assistance to Ukraine, the supply of weapons to the country and the participation of NATO soldiers in the training of the Ukrainian military, as Ukraine is in mortal danger.

"Today, when Ukraine is facing a mortal threat - the threat of another invasion - it is especially important that the Polish authorities reliably support our neighbor. Without an independent Ukraine there is no safe Poland. Free Ukraine is one of Poland's security guarantees", - was stated in the resolution.

The senators also noted that Russia has amassed a huge army on Ukraine's borders, equipped with tanks, heavy artillery, ships and combat aircraft, which could lead to an outbreak of the largest armed conflict since World War II.

"The condition for this dialogue is the withdrawal of Russian troops from the Ukrainian border", - was informed in the resolution.

The Senate of the Republic of Poland is also convinced that dialogue with Russia is possible, but it cannot take place in a situation of military blackmail, which undermines the principle of inviolability of borders in Europe.
