An outbreak of rotavirus infection has been recorded in the occupied Crimea due to the discharge of sewage waste into the Black Sea. Tourists become infected en masse. Hospitals in some cities are overcrowded, and the number of seriously ill continues to grow.

In the article tells, that occupation government of Sevastopol decided to take patients with rotavirus to an infectious disease hospital, converted into a hospital for patients with COVID-19.

As tell one citizen from Moscow, who with her family contracted rotavirus in occupied Feodosia, the symptoms include high fever and severe stomach pain. In addition, she vomited "some terrible black liquid."

"Twice my husband called an ambulance, but they refused to hospitalize me, there were no places in the hospital, and my case was not critical to the doctors", - stated russian tourist.

Three days after the prescribed treatment, the vacationer became easier, but nausea and stomach problems persist to these days.

As stated in the article, at a peak of the season on July-August due to the high temperature of seawater, bacteria trapped in the sea from the sewer, begin to multiply rapidly and infect more and more people. Due to a large number of tourists of Russian vacationers this year in the occupied Crimea, in particular, in Sevastopol, Alushta, Feodosia and Koktebel, the number of cases has increased.

"It is possible to safely protect against a rotavirus infection only by completely excluding bathing in cities and settlements where the sewerage goes down to the sea without proper clearing", - explains the nurse from occupied Feodosia.

In addition, for swimming, it is better to choose bays in which settlements are at least two kilometres from the sea.
