Nariman Dzhelyal, deputy head of the Crimean Tatar People's Mejlis, made another statement while under arrest in the Crimean pre-trial detention center, accusing the Russian judiciary of lying and violating the foundations of Russia's constitutional order.

Lawyer Nikolai Polozov posted his letter on Facebook.

“I am being accused of an act that the Criminal Code refers to as crimes against the principles of the constitutional order and the security of the state. However, it is clear to me that a greater danger for a state that does not adhere but at least declares democratic values is a false investigation and biased justice, which neglects the principles of impartiality and objectivity", - Dzhelyal wrote.

According to him, the people who are supposed to defend the constitutional order of the Russian Federation are pushing the country into the abyss of lawlessness.

"But they are trying me, a person who condemns Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and the occupation of Crimea", - the political prisoner said.

“Russia will ensure its security only when it condemns the real culprits", - he stated.
