On Thursday, January 27, the movement of Russian missile systems was observed in occupied Sevastopol.

"Crimea. Realities" reported it, citing video footage from Reuters.

It is noted that Russia's occupying Black Sea Fleet has a Bastion coastal missile defence system.

"According to the video, military equipment is moving in the direction of Cape Fiolent, where the anti-aircraft missile unit of the Russian Armed Forces is located. The Russian military has not officially announced the movement of military equipment", - the statement said.

What is known

  • "Bastion" - coastal missile system with anti-ship missile P-800 "Onyx" / "Yakhont". Designed to destroy surface ships of various classes and types of amphibious formations, convoys, ship and aircraft carrier strike groups, as well as single ships and ground radiocontrast targets in conditions of intense fire and electronic countermeasures.
