Ukrainian troops conducted special tactical training near the administrative border with occupied Crimea
The Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted tactical training of Msta-B howitzer artillery units near the administrative border with temporarily occupied Crimea.
The press service of the Armed Forces reported it.
At one of the military training grounds of the Kherson region, artillery units, under the measures of combat training, successfully conducted training of combat crew.
"During training, platoon commanders direct artillery crews at all stages of the combat mission, namely: during the movement in the area of firing positions, equipment and preparation of positions, aiming and leaving firing positions", - the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Serhiy Nayev said.
According to the story, during the reconnaissance of the area, the UAV found the advance of troops and armoured vehicles of the hypothetical enemy towards the positions of the Ukrainian troops.
The distance to the targets was about 20 km. Therefore, the crews of the Msta-B howitzers were sent to destroy the targets.
"The shelling of a conditional target was controlled by operators of remote-controlled aircraft. At present, artillerymen are improving their skills in drawing the coordinates of targets", - Naev specified.
