The credentials of the Russian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe were successfully challenged on January 24. Out of the 30 affirmative votes required, 49 were obtained, the final decision will be made on Wednesday.

People's Deputy of Ukraine, Oleksiy Honcharenko, announced it on Telegram.

"The credentials of the Russian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe were successfully challenged on Monday, January 24. It takes 30 affirmative votes to pass the decision. We obtained 49 votes! A report on the powers of the Russian delegation will now be prepared in the Assembly, and the final decision will be made on Wednesday", - he said.

Honcharenko also said that the Ukrainian delegation denied the authority of Russia on procedural grounds - as the Russian parliament was elected by votes, including occupied Crimea and the people of Donbas. 47 PACE delegates voted for this out of the required 10.
