The Commander of the German Navy Kai-Achim Schenbach will answer to the Ministry of Defense after his words about the loss of Crimea to Ukraine.

This was reported by the German newspaper Bild.

Vice Admiral Kai-Achim Schenbach will report to the German Ministry of Defense before the Inspector General of the Armed Forces. There he will explain his statements about the occupied Ukrainian peninsula.

The Ministry of Defense stated that Schönbach's position did not correspond to that of official Berlin.

"Statements on the content and choice of words do not in any way correspond to the position of the Federal Ministry of Defense", - the representative of the German Ministry of Defense said.

However, the Defense Ministry has not yet specified when Schoenbach will report to the inspector general.
