On the morning of January 14, armoured vehicles of the occupying troops of the Russian Federation were involved in an accident in Crimea due to black ice on the Tavrida highway.

Eyewitnesses reported about it on social networks, occupying local mass media reports.

The accident happened on a section of the highway near the village of Donskoy.

According to the State Register of the Russian Federation, the Tavrida highway has now been registered as the property of the occupied Crimea as an intermediate stage. The main course of the route and 70 road constructions that are part of it were designed for the peninsula.

The Crimean Highway Service has been appointed responsible for the maintenance of the facility. The Russian chairperson of the committee, Inna Smal, considers this decision necessary from a legal point of view.

The road will soon be transferred to federal ownership - to the Russians. This confirms the military purpose of the route. The feds will also get 2,600 plots of land through which the Tavrida passes and all capital structures of the facility.

The route will be given to Russia together with the section connecting it with Feodosia.
