In December last year, mass human rights violations were recorded in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Three searches, two detentions and 15 arrests were carried out during the month. All of them concerned Crimean Tatars.

The head of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, Eskender Bariev, told this to Suspilne Crimea.

The right to a fair trial was violated 51 times, 49 of which concerned Crimean Tatars.

“There were three searches and two arrests in December 2021. I would like to note that we did not record any cases of new arrests. The arrests were related to the extension of prison terms. In December, two cases of torture were recorded. Thank God these people remained at large with their families. But, at the same time, it means that this torture is systemic", - he said.
