Lithuania will increase military support to Ukraine - Anushauskas

The Lithuanian State Defence Council has approved a military support plan for Ukraine. It is about increasing the number of instructors for the Ukrainian army and lethal weapons.

Lithuanian Defence Minister Arvydas Anushauskas stated this, LRT informs.

According to him, the plan for supporting Ukraine includes some practical measures. In particular, an increase in the number of instructors in a training mission and some financial assistance.

"This material assistance is lethal, non-lethal weapons and humanitarian aid - for example, the continuation of the program of treatment and rehabilitation of Ukrainian servicemen in Lithuania", - he explained.

Lithuania also intends to transfer thermal imaging equipment to Ukraine soon. The Lithuanian government is currently preparing a decision.

"Currently, we plan to transfer the funds for thermal imagers. The government is committed to transfer at least one million euros of necessary equipment annually", - the Lithuanian Defence Minister said.
