During the year, Ukrainian border guards allowed more than 660,000 people into and from the occupied Crimea

In 2021, on the administrative border between the occupied Crimea and mainland Ukraine, Ukrainian border guards registered 663 thousand 213 people and 83 thousand 797 cars.

This was stated by the Kherson Border Detachment of the Southern Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, was reported by Crimea.Realii.

It is also noted that during the last year Ukrainian border guards refused to leave the territory of Ukraine 591 citizens of Ukraine and did not allow 484 foreigners to enter the territory of Ukraine.

“Most often, citizens of Ukraine were denied entry due to the expiration of their passports, and children - due to lack of passport documents or a power of attorney from one of the parents. As for foreigners, they were mostly denied entry due to illegal visits to the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, invalid or forged passport documents and due to the ban on entering the territory of Ukraine", - was informed in the statement.
