The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, said that Ukraine had received 17 billion euros from the EU after the occupation of Crimea.

He said this during a visit to Donbass.

He stressed that the EU strongly supports Ukraine, provides it with financial, economic and political support.

"We provide political, economic and financial support. More than 17 billion euros have been provided to Ukraine since Russia's occupation of Crimea. And the EU Association Agreement with Ukraine is the most ambitious and comprehensive agreement the EU has ever signed with any other country", - he noted.

Borrel also stressed that the conflict in Donbass could worsen.
