More than 6,000 people crossed the border checkpoints on the administrative border with the occupied Crimea during the New Year holidays

From December 31, 2021 to January 4, 2022, 6,349 people and 760 vehicles crossed the administrative border between the occupied Crimea and Kherson region.

This was reported by the Kherson Border Detachment of the State Border Guard Service.

Most people crossed the administrative border to visit relatives.

"While inspecting the suitcase of one of the suspects with the help of an X-ray television introscope, border guards found a knife resembling a cold weapon and handed it over to police. Border guards did not record any other offenses at the administrative border with the Autonomous Republic of Crimea during the past weekend”, - was informed in the statement.
