There can be no compromise with Russia to achieve peace - Ukraine's ambassador to the United States
Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova said that all issues related to Ukraine, European security, and NATO would be discussed with Ukraine. There can be no compromise with the aggressor to achieve peace.
She said this in an interview with Radio Svoboda on January 1.
"Every country can have its own bilateral agenda. And, of course, the United States has such an agenda with Russia. However, I repeat: we are confident that all issues concerning both Ukraine and European security, NATO-related issues are being discussed and will be discussed with us", - she said.
She assured that the United States understands that Ukraine's struggle for its independence is a struggle for its civilized choice to be a democratic country.
"Therefore, any compromise with an autocratic regime will not lead to peace. There can be no compromise with the aggressor to achieve peace. To be honest, we have never heard the word compromise in negotiations", - the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States stressed.
