In his New Year's video message, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned the Russian occupation of Crimea. He stated that Ukraine would not wait for the world to solve Ukraine's problems.

The President's New Year's speech was published on Facebook.

Ukrainians learn to unite not against someone, but for themselves, as well as to respect themselves and others, he said.

"We are not waiting for the world to solve our problems and for someone to return our land for us. And we are gathering dozens of countries for Crimea's liberation and launching the Crimea Platform. "Crimea is Ukraine!" sounded loud this year. The voice of not only Ukraine but 46 other participants of the Crimean Platform. We can say: we have returned Crimea to the world agenda so that one day we will say: we have returned Crimea to Ukraine", - he said.

Zelensky has stressed that it is also important to return all Ukrainian prisoners held by Russia.
