SBU has completed an investigation into the heads of the Crimean occupation administration

The Security Service of Ukraine has completed an investigation into the heads of the Crimean occupation administration.

It was reported by the press centre of the Security Service of Ukraine.

RBC-Ukraine learned the names of the accused from its own sources. Including:

  • Sergey Aksyonov - a former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea, the Russian-controlled "head" of the peninsula;
  • Natalia Poklonskaya - the former senior prosecutor;
  • Volodymyr Kostiantynov - an ex-head of the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea;
  • Petro Zima - the former head of the SBU of Ukraine in Sevastopol;
  • Sergey Abisok - the former head of the criminal investigation department of the Simferopol city administration of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine;
  • Viktor Melnychenko - an Ex-Chief of Staff of the Azov-Black Sea Regional Department of the SBGS;
  • Yuriy Doynikov - a former chairperson of the Sevastopol City Council.

Occupying "heads" of the peninsula are suspected of committing several crimes. They are accused of Art. 109 (seizure of state power); Art. 110 (encroachment on territorial integrity); Art. 111 (treason); Art. 255 (creation of a criminal organization).

In February-March 2014, these individuals took part in the violent overthrow of the constitutional order and changes in the borders of Ukrainian territory. They also helped create and run the occupation authorities.

The indictment against the defendants was sent to court.

Each of them faces up to 15 years in prison.
