The Crimean Solidarity public association has started receiving video appeals about the torture of Nariman Ametov, who was detained by the occupiers during a search in the Old Crimea on the morning of December 17.

On December 23, the elders of the city of Stary Krym appealed in connection with the torture suffered by Nariman Ametov. The elders are outraged by the lawlessness and demand an end to torture and repression.

"At half past five, putting a bag on Nariman's head, he was taken through the garden in an unknown direction. Then it turned out that he was taken to Simferopol. My wife and three young children stayed at home… This is how you force everyone to sign the documents you need and put innocent people in prison! Our people do not agree with this! And our people will oppose this political method", - Usein Velikhayev said.

The elders of the villages of Topolivka, Hrushivka and Kurske also made an appeal.

"We are peaceful people, we achieve our goals peacefully and we demand from this government that they do not touch our children", - Bekir Degermenji said.

The elders of Belogorsk and Bakhchisarai demand that the occupying authorities stop torture and repression.

"The Crimean Tatar people have always fought against injustice by all available means. The people, who have been persecuted for more than two and a half centuries, do not agree with the injustice that is happening today", - Enver Seitmetemov said.
