The materials of administrative cases against activists sentenced by the occupation court to various terms of administrative arrest are being prepared for submission to the ECtHR as violating the human rights to peaceful assembly and a fair trial.

The lawyer Nazim Sheikhmambetov reported about it in the video published by "Crimean Solidarity".

"According to the case file, a submission is already being prepared to the European Court of Human Rights. It is a well-known practice when the European Court of Human Rights recognizes such court decisions as violating the right to peaceful assembly, in particular, the right to a fair trial”, - Sheikhmbametov said.

It is noted that the ECtHR is preparing materials of administrative cases against activists Erezhep Memeshev, Ibrahim Mir Ibragimov, Iskander Dzhelyalov, Dilaver Memetov, Nariman Muidinov, Ali Sanayev and Ametkhan Umerov, detained near the Crimean garrison building. up to 14 days for allegedly violating the ban on holding mass events related to the epidemiological situation (Article 20.6.1 of the Administrative Code).

What is known

  • On November 11, the occupying Central District Court of Simferopol arrested lawyer Edem Semedlyaev for 12 days. On November 23, his term in the special detention center expired.

  • On the morning of October 29, in occupied Simferopol, 30 people were detained who came to the Crimean garrison military court to support their compatriots, who were sentenced to 12-17 years in prison in a Russian court in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case.
  • Occupying security forces detained 21 Crimean Tatars, who came as listeners to the appeal in the case of the "Red Guard Group" Hizb ut-Tahrir in the Crimean garrison military court in Simferopol. They were taken to the Central Police Department in Simferopol.
