In the occupied Crimea, the so-called Supreme Court has denied an appeal against a fine and administrative arrest of lawyer Edem Semedlyaev, accused of disobeying a police officer.

The lawyer announced this in a video posted by Crimean Solidarity on Facebook.

"The court did not satisfy the appeal, upheld the decision of the Central District Court. That is, the decision of the Central District Court came into force. Now I have to pay 4,000 fines.

According to him, together with the Crimean Bar Association, he will appeal the decision of the occupation court in the constitutional instance.

According to Semedlyaev, the reason for drawing up administrative protocols against him was not an offense on his part, but the personal dislike of Ruslan Shambazov, an employee of the so-called Center for Countering Extremism.

"I think it was a kind of personal animosity, because he did not appeal to the law and the grounds on which the protocols were drawn up were constantly changing. I was accused of making audio and video recordings, and then they said that I did this and that. During the so-called undressing, he also figured out on the go why he needed it. I didn't have to inspect my underwear to find the object of the crime, the phone on the table, if he really wanted to inspect the object of the crime. That's why I think it was a kind of personal hostility", - the lawyer said.

Semedlyaev stressed that he did not know the reasons for this hostility, as he had no personal contacts with the employee of the E Center, but only contacts within the framework of advocacy.
