Border guards found weapons and ammunition in two Ukrainian citizens heading to the Crimea across the administrative border.

Ivan Shevtsov, a spokesman for the Kherson detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, told Suspilne Crimea about this.

It is noted that both cases occurred at the Kalanchak checkpoint on December 19.

Border guards found a device for shooting rubber bullets "PMR" and seven rounds of ammunition in one of the men. The weapon was found with the help of a service dog during a search of personal belongings.

"The man had documents for a weapon", - was informed by the State Border Guard Service. - However, he did not know that in general any weapons, even models, are prohibited from being transported across the administrative border with the temporarily occupied Crimea. We interviewed him and the man decided to return to mainland Ukraine".

The second Ukrainian was found to have 30 Flaubert cartridges. The servicemen informed the National Police about the find and handed over ammunition to law enforcement officers for investigation.

"We handed over the citizen to the National Police. Police found that these bullets were traumatic bullets. Consequently, they fall under the signs of a criminal offense under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives", - was stated by the State Border Guard Service.

What is known
