Crimean Tatar activist Nariman Ametov, detained in the Old Crimea on December 17, was released after searches of his home.

This was announced by public defender Seitosman Karaliev to the Suspilne Crimea.

He was allegedly taken to Simferopol for a talk. "Police officers" told a relative of the family, Arsen Yakubov, that Nariman Ametov was most likely taken to the FSS.

What is known

  • In the Old Crimea on December 17, at 5:50 a.m. The occupiers searched activist Nariman Ametov, who regularly attended court hearings on Crimean Tatar affairs. He was allegedly taken to Simferopol for a talk. Searches were conducted at 30 Internatsionalna Street. All telephones, a TV set-top box and a Karan were confiscated from the Ametovs' house.

Primorsky, part of the Feodosia city district in eastern Crimea, was detained by occupying security forces as 23-year-old Crimean Tatar Kurtumer Chalgozov. His house was searched at 5:15 a.m. for about three hours. He was later released. The man was interrogated in the case of Nariman Dzhelyalov, deputy head of the Crimean Tatar People's Majlis.
