The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that he did not rule out holding a referendum on the status of the occupied territories of the ORDLO and the Crimean Peninsula.

He stated this on the air of 1 + 1 TV channel, answering the journalist's question whether he wanted to consult with Ukrainians on the status of the occupied territories.

"I do not rule out a referendum on Donbass in general. And here the issue is not in status. We may have this in life. This (referendum - ed.) May be on Donbass, on the Crimea", - Zelensky said.

At the same time, Zelensky did not specify what issues could be put to such a referendum. According to the President, in case a situation arises when the issue is timely, he will consult on the possibility of holding a referendum with the public.

In addition, the president allowed a referendum to end the war.

"This (referendum - ed.) May be general to stop the war. It may be that someone, some country we will offer certain conditions. It may be. Today, this is not accurate. There are no secrets in me from society, I would not joke about such things and I would not have any secrets, because these are very important things that concern our status, ... our territories. But if there is such a difficult challenge, I will definitely consult with our society", - he said.
