The Security Service of Ukraine and the State Archives Service have opened access to archival documents of Soviet repressive bodies in Crimea.

"The published materials are important in the context of the hybrid war with Russia and the temporary closure of the Crimean archives. In particular, about the large-scale repressions initiated by Moscow, which were carried out by the communist totalitarian regime on the Crimean peninsula", - was informed in the statement.

Among the documents that can be viewed online:

  • acts on execution of death sentences of VNK-ODPU bodies for 1920–1922 and 1928–1934 and judicial bodies on the territory of Crimea for 1920-1941;
  • minutes of meetings of the Crimean boards of the All-Russian Emergency Commission and the Presidium of the State Political Administration in the cities of Simferopol, Sevastopol and Feodosia for 1921-1922;
  • part of the minutes of the meetings of the troika of the UNKVD of the Crimean Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic for 1937
