The Security Service of Ukraine has exposed criminals who massively falsified certificates of negative PCR test results. Among their clients are many who wanted to cross the administrative border with the temporarily occupied Crimea without hindrance.

This was reported by the press service of the department.

It is noted that counterfeiters acted at the Chongar checkpoint.

At first, they "served" vacationers who wanted to get to the occupied Crimea without taking tests. Because most of them had international COVID certificates, which are not recognized by the occupiers.

One and a half thousand hryvnias were asked for a certificate without visiting the laboratory. Subsequently, bus carriers joined the scheme. Before entering the route, the attackers received photos of their passport data from passengers and sent them to partners from Kherson. And there already "clients" received forged certificates for 700 hryvnias.

According to the SSU, the scheme has been in effect for at least six months. And the "profits" of dealers amounted to more than half a million hryvnias a month.

Currently, the issue of declaring criminals a suspect under Part 3 of Art. 190 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Investigative actions are underway to identify and prosecute all those involved in the scheme.
