The United States is planning talks with a number of NATO and Russian countries to discuss, among other things, further steps toward de-escalation.

This was stated by US President Joe Biden, quoted by "Voice of America".

"We hope that by Friday we will be able to announce that we will hold high-level meetings with at least four of our main NATO allies and Russia", - Biden said.

He said it was planned to discuss Russia's concerns about possible NATO enlargement and ways to reduce tensions on the Alliance's eastern flank.

The head of the White House also spoke positively about the agreement with the Russian side to continue cooperation at the level of working groups following the talks with the President of Russia.
