On December 7, 2021, the order of the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine of November 23, 2021 № 258 "On approval of the List and volumes (value / weight / quantity) restricted or prohibited for movement across the administrative border of goods and goods which can be attributed to personal belongings ".

This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional State Administration.

It is noted that the order should simplify the process of crossing the administrative border with the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea for civilians.

In particular, it is determined that the list of personal belongings allowed to move across the administrative border with Crimea includes goods that have signs of use, as well as other goods that do not have signs of use, and move as personal belongings in hand luggage and accompanying luggage.

The order also sets the following limits on the value / weight / quantity when moving other goods that do not show signs of use and are moved as personal belongings across the administrative border in hand luggage and accompanied luggage of an individual:

  • from the territories controlled by Ukraine to the temporarily occupied territory - without restrictions;
  • from the temporarily occupied territory to the territories controlled by Ukraine - the total invoice value of which does not exceed the equivalent of 10,000 hryvnias and / or the total weight of which does not exceed 75 kg per person (provided that food - not more than 2 kg of each item and non-food items - not more than 2 units of each name).

The order also regulates the procedure for transportation of cash by individuals across the administrative border. Thus, an individual may move cash across the administrative border in an amount not exceeding UAH 100,000 or an equivalent amount, including in foreign currency at the cross-rate set by the National Bank of Ukraine on the day of crossing the administrative border.

If the amount exceeds 100 thousand hryvnias, the person will have to provide a supporting document on the origin of funds.

What is known

  • The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine installs X-ray television introscopes at entry-exit checkpoints on the administrative border with the temporarily occupied Crimea.
  • From December 1, residents of the occupied Crimea will be able to be vaccinated at the Kalanchak and Chongar checkpoints. In the morning they began to serve everyone in the queue. You can make a declaration with a doctor on the spot.
