At one of the combat training grounds of the Kherson region near the administrative border with occupied Crimea, the group of troops “South”, which is subordinated to the Joint Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, trained anti-tank reserves to respond to the breakthrough of a conventional enemy.

The commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Serhiy Nayev, announced it.

Thus, anti-tank soldiers demonstrated practical skills of deploying combat crews and shooting at targets and a rapid change of position.

According to legend, during the defence by the Marine Corps unit of their positions, the conditional enemy, having received reinforcements of armoured vehicles, went on the attack.

The Marines were given an anti-tank unit at their disposal to contain the offensive.

“In particular, the anti-tank soldiers reached the line of opening fire, set up positions, carried out artillery reconnaissance, and aimed guns at the targets of the correctors”, - Nayev said.

According to him, not only the coherence of the unit’s actions has been taken into account, but also the sequence of implementation of standards.

“Such events are held weekly, following the combat training plan of the unit. Their primary goal is to maintain a high level of knowledge, skills, and high spirit of the personnel of artillery crews. During the training, the anti-tankers show that in the event of a sharp change in the situation, there will be a need - they will be ready to perform the assigned task well”, - the commander emphasized.
