The Northern Fleet of the Russian Federation transferred MiG-29K and MiG-29KUB fighters from the 100th Ship Aviation Regiment to the occupied Crimea for training on the basis of the NITKA ground training complex located in the city of Saki.

This is stated in the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.

It is noted that the occupiers need the THREAD complex to maintain the skills of deck pilots, while the only aircraft carrier of the Russian Navy "Admiral Kuznetsov" is still under permanent repair.

According to current plans, the flights of Russian deck MiG-29Ks in the occupied Crimea will last a month, after which the aircraft of the 100th Naval Aviation Regiment will be transferred back to the place of permanent deployment in the Murmansk region of the Russian Federation.

The pilots of the Russian MiG-29K are now practicing on the NITKA complex the skills of taking off from a springboard, passing over the runway at a very low altitude, "touching" the chassis of the deck of an "aircraft carrier".
