US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin will pay a visit to Ukraine next week as part of a European tour currently being prepared by the Pentagon.
This was stated on Tuesday at a briefing by Pentagon spokesman John Kirby.
"The minister and his team are preparing for a tour of Europe next week. The stops will include Georgia, Ukraine and Romania", - a Pentagon spokesman said.
He added that the outcome of the US Defense Secretary's European tour would be his meetings with allies and partners in Brussels at the NATO ministerial meeting.
