On Wednesday, September 22, in occupied Evpatoria at one of the gas stations, 58 people took part in a mass brawl, some of them carrying traumatic weapons. The occupation police detained them.

According to unofficial information from the Russian media, the Crimean Tatars had a conflict with Chechens, who, shortly before the fight, beat a gas station employee and crushed his eye.

The occupying Ministry of Internal Affairs of Crimea reports about it.

“Law enforcement officers” had to shoot into the air to stop the brawl and detain its participants. They also seized traumatic weapons of various brands. No one got hurt. They took the detainees to the department to find out all the circumstances.

According to a source in “law enforcement agencies” of occupying RIA “News of Crimea”, among detainees - inhabitants of Evpatoria, the Saksky area, and Simferopol. One of the violators had a forged ID of a “prosecutor’s office employee”.

Eyewitness accounts

Eyewitnesses told the Russian newspaper “Podyom” that the incident began with three natives of the Chechen Republic pushing a broken coffee machine, to which the security guard remarked and was severely beaten - they knocked out his eye.

The locals were defended by residents - Crimean Tatars. The Chechens retreated, promising to return with reinforcements.

According to the official version, the “police” went on call after the first shots.

"Locals prepared for the meeting, armed with sticks, rods, screwdrivers, and eight traumatic pistols. About 30 Chechens had arrived, and as soon as the showdown began, OMON immediately appeared. That is, the Chechens came unarmed and called "riot police" with them. That's why the Chechens were not detained", - eyewitnesses said.

The local Ministry of Internal Affairs did not respond to Podyom's request about the nationality of the participants of the brawl. But they confirmed that they are residents of Saki, Simferopol, and Evpatoria.

Telegram-channel "Russian Orientalist" wrote that many different nationalities came to the fight.

"It turns out that it was not the Crimean Tatars who came to meet with the Chechens, but a whole team of Tatars, Russian athletes, Armenians, and Azerbaijanis who came to support the Armenians", - the Telegram channel wrote.

The group also clarifies that the victim is the owner of the store, and he refuses to write a statement to the "police". The case was initiated on the fact of infliction of bodily harm. The examination will determine the severity of the damage. He lost an eye. The victim is an Armenian, and Crimean Tatars stood up for him against the Chechens.

According to the Telegram channel "Vespa Media", in the first version of the message of the occupying RIA "Novosti Krym," there was a reference concerning law enforcement agencies that Crimean Tatars, Chechens, Georgians, and Azerbaijanis were detained, but after some time this information was deleted.

"Initially, they were Chechens, Crimean Tatars, Georgians, and Azerbaijanis, but since crime has no nationality, the representatives of the fraternal peoples immediately became residents of Evpatoria", - the statement said.
