As of the end of August, more than 250 criminal cases for "evasion of service" in the Russian Armed Forces had been transferred to the occupying courts of Crimea.

This is stated in the monitoring review of the human rights situation prepared by the Crimean Human Rights Group.

It is noted that in August, the CPG recorded 14 new criminal cases against residents of the Crimea under Art. 328 of the Criminal Code (Evasion of service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation) and 10 new sentences passed under Art. 328 of the Criminal Code.

At the end of August, the CPG recorded a total of 258 criminal cases for evading service in the RF Armed Forces, which were transferred to the Crimean "courts". Sentences have already been passed for 232 of them, and another 26 are under consideration”, - stated in the article.
