The Council of the European Union has extended the individual sanctions against Russia because of the illegal occupation of Crimea until March 15, 2022.

Restrictive measures apply to 177 individuals and 48 legal entities.

The Council announced it on its website.

The sanctions were applied for undermining and threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of Ukraine. They include a ban on entry into the EU, asset freezes, and a ban on the provision of any economic resources by individuals and legal entities.
