Specialists of "Rosgeologiya" obtained the first batch of water at a depth of 100 meters in the Sea of ​​Azov. The water has been sent to Moscow to analyze whether it is drinking water or not, and research in the Sea of ​​Azov will continue - additional wells will be drilled to study water reserves, and a ship will arrive in the Sea of ​​Azov for exploration.

According to the explanatory note to the draft rules for granting a subsidy to Rosgeologiya to search for fresh water in the Sea of ​​Azov, the amount of modern sub-river runoff of the Don, Kuban, Baysuga and other rivers in the Sea of ​​Azov can be up to 2 billion cubic meters per year. allows you to count on the possibility of annual water intake from all potential sources of subsurface runoff in the amount of up to 0.5-1.2 billion cubic meters.
