The Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol reported on suspicion of a citizen of Ukraine who assisted the occupiers in conducting four illegal conscription campaigns in the occupied Crimea.

The head of the department of the prosecutor's office of autonomy Egor Rebrov told about it to Suspilne Crimea.

“Currently, procedural guidance is being provided in criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, ie a violation of the customs of war, during the investigation of which the facts of certain persons providing tools, tools and assisting illegal conscription by the relevant authorities were established. Of the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied territory", - Rebrov said.

In particular, existing civil agreements were concluded with the Republican Military Enlistment Office of the Russian Federation with a certain enterprise for transporting Crimean residents illegally drafted into Russian armed forces from conscription points to collection points and further to Simferopol railway station.

The man was detained at Kherson International Airport when he tried to enter Ukraine. He faces from 8 to 12 years in prison.

"Currently, the person is on the mainland of Ukraine, he can not go to the Crimea and currently a petition for precautionary measures has been filed with the court", - Rebrov said.

From its own sources, Public correspondents learned that the detainee's name was Pavlo Zakharchenko.
