The Ambassador of Cyprus to Ukraine visited the administrative border with the occupied Crimea

On July 27, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cyprus to Ukraine Luis Telemachu arrived in the Kherson region on an official visit at the invitation of the Representation of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. He visited the Kalanchak and Chaplynka checkpoints on the administrative border with the occupied peninsula.

This was reported by the mission on its Facebook page.

Anton Korynevych, the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, and Vladyslav Kobylyakov, the First Deputy Chief of the Detachment, visited the administrative border together with the Ambassador. The mission team thanked Luis Telemachus for his consistent support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

According to the Kherson Border Detachment of the State Border Guard Service on Facebook, the ambassador's visit was part of the Crimean Day program. He was acquainted with the procedure for the functioning of the Kalanchak and Chaplynka checkpoints, the conditions for serving as border guards and the procedure for passing citizens across the administrative border.

In turn, Luis Telemachus expressed his support for the Ukrainian people and wished to return to the Ukrainian occupied territories as soon as possible.
