Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that the Russian Federation operated in Transnistria, Georgia and Ukraine according to the same scheme. Therefore, in his opinion, Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova should unite their efforts and jointly oppose Russia's occupation intentions.

He said this following a meeting of the leaders of the Associated Trio - Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova in Batumi.

"If the Black Sea countries and NATO members plus Ukraine, Georgia - and we can also find a place for Moldova in this mechanism - do not join forces, Russia will turn the Black Sea into its internal lake, divide it in half and begin to rule completely in its This topic was discussed very objectively yesterday, ie what needs to be done to level the security situation in the Black Sea”, - Kuleba said.

The Minister noted that the country has specific ideas, specific proposals in this regard.

"We are currently discussing them with both Georgians and Moldovans, as well as with NATO member states that are the Black Sea and friendly to us - Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey", - he said.

In addition, the Foreign Minister gave the definition of the name "Associated Trio".

"We did have a common past with the Russian Federation, but we will have a common future with other countries, not with Russia. Unfortunately, Russia has discredited itself, and we cannot trust it. We must build relations with it because it remains a political reality, we must take care of our security, but the future of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia is in Europe. This is a key element, this is a milestone - for the first time the three countries have jointly stated this in Batumi and will jointly move towards this goal", - Kuleba said.
