20 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in occupied Crimea and Sevastopol

On the morning of July 12, 16 cases of COVID-19 were recorded in occupied Crimea, and 4 in Sevastopol.

The occupying "chairman" of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov reported about it on his Facebook page.

According to Aksyonov, in occupied Crimea, 1 case was detected during anti-epidemic measures, 8 - when seeking medical help, 7 - when screening healthy people.

According to the occupation government of Sevastopol, as of the morning of July 12, 4 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in the city.

It is noted that all patients are people who came to occupied Sevastopol from Russia.

Also, one person was discharged after recovery.

What is known

  • A total of 871 cases of new coronavirus infection have been registered in occupied Crimea for the current period. 53 of them were brought from abroad, 99 cases were imported from the Russian Federation and detected by contact with them, 625 cases were detected by seeking medical care and by contact with persons with laboratory-confirmed results, 94 - by laboratory screening of healthy individuals. 647 people recovered during the whole period.
  • A total of 271 people have fallen ill with COVID-19 in occupied Sevastopol since the beginning of the year. Currently, there are 48 people in hospitals. 210 recovered, 5 died. 138 people are under the supervision of the Infectious Diseases Hospital and 95 in the City Hospital number 9. 
  • 768 people are under the supervision of the place of residence. Only "the Emerald" boarding house operates in the observation mode.
  • A total of 53,521 people fell ill with coronavirus on the mainland of Ukraine, 1,383 died, and 26,118 recovered.
