There were no exchanges of messages on the occasion of Russia Day on June 12, 2014 between the Presidents of Russia and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin and Petro Poroshenko.

This was announced by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.

"I cannot confirm this fact to you. No exchanges of congratulatory messages, which are provided for in such national holidays, have taken place. They do not take place, in fact, and now, unfortunately", - Peskov said.

Peskov was also asked to confirm the authenticity of a previously published telephone conversation between Poroshenko and Putin, which allegedly took place on April 30, 2015.

As for the published recording, I do not know that such a conversation could have place, and also I can't tell anything about authenticity of this record", - Peskov told.
