Almost 3.5 million people in Ukraine need humanitarian assistance because of Russia's aggression in the eastern regions and the occupied Crimea.

This was stated by the press-secretary of the US Embassy in Ukraine Daniel Langenkamp in a video message on the occasion of World Refugee Day, published on Twitter.

"Today, on World Refugee Day, we share our thoughts with asylum seekers, refugees, displaced persons or otherwise affected by the conflict in Ukraine and around the world. We condemn Russia's aggression in Ukraine, which has led to the internal displacement of more than 1 million Ukrainians", - Langenkamp said.

He also added that the United States, we largest provider of humanitarian aid globally, fully supports Ukraine, which is trying to help those affected by the conflict.
