This was announced by UAF President Andriy Pavelko.

The executive committee made this decision unanimously - 45 members voted in favour.

Which symbols have received an official status

• large coat of arms - map of Ukraine with Trident
• slogans "Glory to Ukraine!" and "Glory to the Heroes"

Earlier, the official status of the football symbol was a small emblem of the UAF (trident with the inscription "Ukraine").

This means that slogans and a large coat of arms can be used at all official UAF events, events with the participation of UAF representatives in the international arena and in matches of national teams.

The proposal to give Ukraine slogans and a map official status arose after UEFA obliged Ukraine to remove the slogan "Glory to the Heroes!" from the new national football team uniform.

Also at the press conference of the national team of Ukraine, the press attaché of the national team Oleksandr Hlyvynsky stated that Ukraine will play in its form. And Andriy Pavelko is currently negotiating with UEFA in this regard.

UEFA explained that before approving the form, it had no objections to the slogan "Glory to the Heroes". In December 2020, the organization decided that it met all the norms and was not political.

However, UEFA explained the change of position precisely because of the "duality" of the slogan "Glory to Ukraine" - "Glory to the heroes". The organization stressed that in combination they have a "political nature" as well as "historical and military importance". That is why UEFA decided to make such a decision.

After that, the UAF began negotiations with UEFA to leave the slogan on the national team.

What is known

• The main attribute of the new form of our national team is the image of the map of Ukraine. The new equipment caused a negative reaction in Russia, as the map of Ukraine includes the Russian-occupied Crimean semi-island.
